New Ways To Search on Google in 2024

Hey I got to write this not really as a Google fanatic buh just to share the info and post an update on this site after like a long time.

I was just wanted to search something on Google and I saw this Google update.

Search on Google 2024

Google has once again taken a giant leap forward by introducing two groundbreaking updates and it may redefine the way we search.

The two new features is the "Circle to Search" and "AI-powered Multisearch". Both are set to make our search experiences more intuitive, seamless, and versatile than ever before.

Circle to Search: Searching Without Boundaries

Have you ever been engrossed in a text conversation, scrolling through social media, or watching a video, only to be disrupted by a burning curiosity about something on your screen?  I think Google understands this dilemma and this has brought about the Circle to Search feature.

How This Works

Circle to Search allows users to search anything on their Android phone screen without switching apps.

Through a simple gesture - circling, highlighting, scribbling, or tapping - you can select images, text, or videos and instantly find relevant information.

This feature eliminates the need to switch between apps or browsers, providing a seamless search experience right within your current activity.

Who Can Use This Feature:

This is launched globally on selected premium Android smartphones starting January 31, Circle to Search debuts on the Pixel 8, Pixel 8 Pro, and the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series.  🤧 For now this cool stuff is for Galaxy S24 users and Lastest Google mobile users.

AI-powered Multisearch: Asking Complex Questions, Getting Comprehensive Answers

Artificial Intelligence as been the concentration of tech nowadays since the discovery of openAI

In 2022, Google had introduce Multisearch , and now Google is taking it to the next level with AI-powered insights.

While multisearch was initially focused on refining visual queries, the integration of generative AI now enables users to ask more complex or nuanced questions about what they see.

Imagine you come across an unfamiliar board game at a yard sale. You take a picture, ask, "How do you play this?" and the new multisearch experience provides an AI-powered overview with the most relevant information from across the web.

This can allow anyone to quickly understand what the game is called and how to play it, with additional links for deeper exploration.

Who Can Use This Feature

AI-powered overviews on multisearch results have been launched in the U.S., accessible through the Lens camera icon in the Google app for Android or iOS.

Users like me outside the U.S. who opted into Search Generative Experience (SGE) can preview this only in the Google app. 🥲

Is The Future of Web Search: Generative AI

We've seen the BingAI and more AI browsers and who wouldn't know this is the direction searching on the web is 🤷🏾‍♂️

The launch of AI-powered insights for multisearch is the result of bold experimentation with generative AI in Search Labs.

Google has been actively seeking feedback from users participating in the Search Generative Experience experiment, and this iterative approach allows them to refine and introduce new features based on real-world usage.

You Can Also Enroll in Search Labs:

If you know me by now I love trying and testing out new stuffs😅. Exploring the digital landscape; This is where I find myself.

To explore the latest capabilities being tested, users are encouraged to enroll in Search Labs and opt into the Search Generative Experience experiment.

Closing This Up

As Google continues to push the boundaries of what AI can offer in search experiences, these updates are just the beginning.

The promise of a more natural, intuitive, and helpful search journey awaits as. We can all embark on this technological revolution in 2024.
